If you are looking for the perfect villa in the Languedoc countryside set amongst beautiful vineyards and medieval villages then look no further.  Alain is the perfect host and this Villa is incredibly comfortable. The Aircon was a god send as temperatures hit 40 degrees Celsius, and a dip in the substantial pool was absolutely what we needed.
The village has all you need for essentials and a matter of minutes away are numerous villages with excellent restaurants, supermarkets and wine tasting.   If you are in 2 minds about coming to this villa, don’t be - it is amazing and we will definitely be coming back!

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour à Trausse, petit village tranquille du Minervois , belle région riche en visites historiques (Carcassonne, abbayes...). Connaisseurs en oenologie, nous avons goûté de très bons vins chez des viticulteurs toujours accueillants. La maison n'est pas très grande mais présente des espaces de vie variés appréciables pour y diner: loggia, terrasse de plain pied abritée, terrasse au bord de la belle piscine. La climatisation est un confort supplémentaire mais des volets seraient un plus (écologique) pour protéger les chambres du soleil du Sud. Bon souvenir.

Nous avons été très satisfait de notre séjour. Votre maison est vraiment très agréable et très bien équipée. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piscine, les chambres avec chacune une salle de bain et la climatisation, et la situation dans le village avec l'épicerie juste en face. La situation géographique est également idéale pour visiter la région que nous ne connaissions pas et qui est formidable et beaucoup touristique qu'en Provence. Encore un grand merci pour tous vos précieux conseils qui nous ont beaucoup aidé.

Concernant les équipements dans la maison, nous nous sommes parfois vu limités en termes de vaisselles et couvertes, donc peut-être qu'il en faudrait un peu plus. Mais bon, c'est juste une petite remarque mineure qui ne change pas le confort général de la maison.

The villa fitted our expectations and service exceeded our expectations.  We could use everything  in the house which gave the feeling we were very welcome... The folders upstairs are great but for me it gave the impression it was to much so we searched more on the internet instead in the folders.   It could help to be able to find immediately the walks you can do starting from the house itself. 

i  just note things I think of … the vacation was perfect so even if you don’t change anything it’s still a perfect location and nice place to spend your holiday .

A PERFECT PLACE TO STAY AND EXPLORE THE MINERVOIS AND CORBIERES REGION.

A perfect place to stay and explore the Minervois and Corbières region. The house is perfect. Very clean and comfortable and it has everything that you could need on vacation. The swimming pool is a great size, each bedroom has its own bathroom.

We had the pleasure to meet Alain and Muriel who were perfect hosts and gave us lots of tips on places to stay. There is plenty of information in the house on everything to see/visit in the area.

The village of Trausse is small but it has an epicerie across the road and a supermarket a few Kms away. Make sure to include a visit to the domaine of Jean Baptiste Senate in the center of the village.

I highly recommend staying here.

RELAXING WEEK IN A GREAT LOCATION

Our stay at the property was fantastic. The location. Is brilliant with easy access to the Mediterranean beaches ,Carcassonne and the minervios villages and towns. The epiceire literally over the road made getting fresh bread and croissants easy ( my sons daily task ) good advice to order as they sell out very quickly. The upper balcony area was our favourite place to find shade and eat at night admiring the sunset on the black mountains. A slice of heaven. You won’t be disappointed

The villa was fantastic, very clean and well presented and the pool area, veranda and gardens were beautiful. Clean towels and bedding each week was appreciated and the villa was very comfortable. We were a little confused on arrival about the area near the bbq as to whether it was for our use or not. 

I would highly recommend the villa. The area is beautiful but more remote than we expected. It would be helpful

if the black book was updated in places to perhaps include more restaurants (especially child friendly ones) and perhaps more details of facilities over towards Carcassonne, which we only really discovered near the end of our holiday.

We had a lovely restful time in beautiful surroundings!

We stayed here for 2 glorious weeks at the start of the summer holidays. We always have villa holidays and in terms of space, finish and facilities this is clearly one of the best we have stayed in. Lovely location with great access to Carcassonne etc it really is a perfect base to explore the region. Shop opposite really good for morning bread/pastries and the supermarket 10 mins away covers you for everything else and other necessities such as pharmacy genuinely close by.Liz and Shaun were terrific hosts with the perfect blend of accessibility and privacy! The pool steals the show though, particularly for the kids, just that little bit bigger than the norm and in a lovely private garden.

We came across this villa on the net and we were glad we did. The villa itself is a very well equipped, spacious, private and very comfortable with a lovely pool set in a quiet little village of Trausse (just 25min north-east of Carcassonne). We stayed in Villa des Rosiers for a week and used it as a base to explore the surrounding area which is dotted with picturesque sleepy villages and massive expanse of vine yards as far as the eye can see. A great place to be if one is interested in wine tasting and in cultivating of vines on a massive scale. We came across some pretty little villages along way along the canal du midi and had some great meals. However it was lovely getting back to the villa to relax and unwind after a day\'s excursion. Liz and Shaun were very helpful and great hosts. And it was a peace of mind knowing that they were next door should we require any assistance.

The house was just as lovely as we remembered from last years visit as were the restaurants, particularly in Homps and Caunes. The drive along the canal is especially lovely towards Ventenac, Minerve is well worth a visit as is Fontfroide Abbey followed by a lovely drive to La Grasse. We\'ll certainly be back!

We stayed at the Villa Rosiers. A modern villa in the village of Trausse, little supermarket opposite and two village restaurants. We ate in both and had two good meals of good value. Carcassonne only 20/30 minutes away and lots of villages on the midi canal - try the 11 euro set lunch at Ventenac. Liz and Shaun are excellent hosts,very helpful and welcoming.

We have just returned from a lovely break at Les Lauriers. The property has been sympathetically renovated with every modern convenience but keeping the traditional building materials visible. Shaun and Liz have thought of everything you\'ll need when you arrive so no rush to the well stocked shop situated just across the road. Don\'t forget to order fresh croissants each day! Outside the patio has comfortable loungers were we relaxed in the sun.
Trausse is a tranquil village with two good restaurants within walking distance and offering good food and local wine. Whichever way you leave the village you are surrounded by vineyards. 

We strongly recommend this great property to all who want to see and enjoy a small village in the region of Minervois whilst staying in quality accommodation.

From our arrival to our departure, Liz & Shaun were the perfect hosts, only too willing to help and advise. Villa Les Lauriers itself was outstanding accommodation. Clean and comfortable as well as private. It\'s given us ideas for our own home!

We went in October and the weather was still warm and sunny enough to give us both a tan.

The local wines were of excellent quality and everyone should try a bottle of Limoux Blanquette.

Trausse itself is peaceful and quiet yet perfectly placed for the Canal du Midi, the Mediterranean and Spain.

There are lots of picturesque villages in the surrounding countryside to discover, most with Patisseries to savour!

We can\'t wait to return.

Well, we\'re just back home after a wonderful two weeks at Les Lauriers and would just like to say a huge thank you to Shaun and Liz for their wonderful welcome and all their help during our stay. Les Lauriers was spacious and beautifully equipped, perfectly placed for the local shop, with two delightful restaurants in the village as well as many others in the local area.Breakfast on the patio was a particular delight - a perfect way to start the day! There is so much to see and do within a very short drive and we can\'t recommend Les Lauriers highly enough - so will just finish by saying that we\'re already looking at diaries for next year.

We have stayed in lots of gites through France and this one was truly the best. The accommodation was outstanding - spacious and spotless. I will always remember the swallows skimming and the church bells, the lovley meals at both local restaurants and of course Minervois itself. Les Lauriers is beautiful villa in a quaint setting right in the middle of Languedoc. Within easy reach of the coast and of the Spanish border. Lots of places to explore and an excellent climate. Carcassonne, which is about 30 mins away is stunning! Shaun and Liz are on hand to help with anything, very friendly and a great welcome. The house is tastefully decorated to a very high standard and very well equipped. The local village store is literally across the road, where you can get excellent bread, croissants and local wines at very reasonable prices. We hope to be back sometime soon!

As a group we have stayed in many villas in quite a few countries and I think we can put Villa Rosiers pretty much at the top of our list, ticks all the boxes, three good sized bedrooms all ensuite, pool, large well equiped kitchen, various eating areas, two restaurants within easy walking distance. Lovely views from the upstairs dining area, very relaxing. Lots of local wildlife to watch, Swallows, Swifts Humming Bird Moths etc. Excellent.Great time.

We loved the villa. It was spacious, well equipped and very relaxing. The upstairs open balcony was perfect for relaxing with a book and the pool area was also a lovely place to sit and relax. It was a bit cold for swimming in mid October but our grand daughter was not deterred and spent many hours in the pool. We did some great day trips and there was plenty of interest for the children too (aged 12 and 9). A great base for exploring the region.

Another year, another great summer holiday at Villa des Rosiers! This was our third consecutive year at the villa but this time there was a slight twist: we decided to spend my 40th birthday there. In order to accommodate various friends and family members who arrived and departed at different times, we hired the new property \'Les Lauriers\'as well as the villa. Utilising both properties we were able to entertain children (young and old), parents, grandparents and friends - and everything worked out well. It was another great holiday and an unforgettable way to celbrate a 40th birthday. We are already looking forward to our fourth year at Villa des Rosiers next year.

I can\'t recommend Villa des Rosiers highly enough. The property is spacious, very comfortable, spotless, and peaceful. We especially loved the pool area. Shaun and Liz were the kind of people for whom nothing was too much trouble, and even waited up into the late evening for us when our arrival was delayed. The little shop over the road was perfect for most items. The whole area is rich in beautiful countryside,through which we spent most of the week cycling. I am sure we will be back on a future occasion.
