Barely 4 km from the Villa des Rosiers, Caunes-Minervois offers great possibilities for a day's vacation: a superb Abbey, old marble quarries, beautiful walks and nice restaurants.
North of Carcassonne, this hike follows the tracks of the Soulanes de Nore national forest, up to the Roc de Moussu from where the view of the Minervois and the Black Mountain is superb.
Our experience: So we left the historic center of Caunes, strolling through this old village with its narrow streets and old buildings is really pleasant. We have deviated a little from the proposed route, without consequence, the landmarks here are quite important to find your way easily. The top of the rock is quite difficult to reach but it is worth it, the 360 view is awe-inspiring. The rest of the walk is relatively easy.
